Duncanville is an American animated sitcom created by Amy Poehler, Mike and Julie Thacker Scully for the Fox Broadcasting Company. It debuted on February 16, 2020 at 8:30pm.[1]
The series is a joint production between Bento Box Entertainment, Universal Television, Fox Entertainment and 20th Century Fox Television.
On April 6, 2020, Duncanville was renewed for a second season scheduled for a May 23, 2021 debut.[2][3][4][5] On April 6, 2021, Duncanville was renewed for a third season, bringing the total number of episodes to 39.[6]
Duncanville is currently syndicated internationally to Canada's CityTV,[7] United Kingdom’s Channel 4,[8] and Australia’s Nine Network[9] through Fox Corporation for the former and NBCUniversal Television Distribution for the latter two. It is also syndicated to Brazil's Fox Channel through 20th Television.[10]
Plot
Duncanville follows a 15-year old Duncan Harris, who's always one step away from making a bad decision. Along with Duncan lives his mom, a parking enforcement officer, who dreams of being a detective someday and always has to watch Duncan, his dad, who tries to be a better father figure to Duncan than his father was to him, his sister Kimberly, who is a normal teenager going through normal teen-phases, and his other sister Jing, who is an intelligent 5-year old always giving Duncan advice. Mia, is Duncan's on-and-off crush.[11]
